Forward Plastics is proud to announce that we have achieved Operation Clean Sweep® (OCS) New Zealand certification, reinforcing our commitment to responsible manufacturing and environmental stewardship.
Operation Clean Sweep is an international programme designed to prevent plastic pellet, flake and powder loss throughout the plastics supply chain. By implementing robust procedures and best practices across our facility, we are helping to ensure that plastic materials remain where they belong – in the manufacturing process – and out of our waterways and marine environment.
As a leading New Zealand manufacturer of sustainable plastic packaging, environmental responsibility is central to the way we operate. While we continue to invest in recycled and renewable materials, such as locally sourced post-consumer recycled (PCR) HDPE and bio-based resins, we also recognise that preventing plastic pellet loss during manufacturing is an equally important part of protecting the environment.
Achieving Operation Clean Sweep certification required a company-wide commitment to reviewing our processes, strengthening housekeeping practices, training our team and implementing systems to monitor and continually improve our performance. This certification reflects the dedication of every member of the Forward Plastics team and our ongoing commitment to operational excellence.
For our customers, OCS certification provides additional confidence that their packaging is being manufactured by a supplier committed to internationally recognised environmental best practice.
